May 8, 2009 - Devious Semantics is going to perform at Goodbye Blue Monday on Friday, May 8 @ 8PM. (1087 Broadway in Brooklyn 718-453-6343).

February 26, 2009 - Devious Semantics is not just an indie-label-cult-artist-collective any longer. Devious Semantics is (cue to gasp) a band! After two succesful trial performances and months of recording, they decided to release a debut album with members Tyler Fenio, Kevin Brady, Patrick Galligan, & Anna Mull. These artists came together in Brooklyn, NYC, to hazard the exacting process of creating more lascivious melodies and luxurious harmonies, writing bigger stories that osmose themes like fundamentalism, massacres, ex-girlfriends, booze, the Wiz, etc. - and then orchestrating them to the honed rhythms of an evangelist. The result is an emotional behemoth with a sense of humor, a taste for apocalyptacism, and a thirst for sustainablity.
